SAAPE Condemns the Terrorist Act in Mumbai, India

29 Nov 2008

The SAAPE Secretariat condemns the most barbaric and heinous acts of the terrorist groups and individuals, that has claimed lives of above 150 innocent citizens in Taj Mahal Palace and Oberoi Trident Hotels and other important premises of Mumbai, India in last three days. It is an act that has tarnished the humanity and spread hatred every where, once again.

We express our strong support and solidarity with the kiths, keens and the bereaved family members of the departed souls, and the peace loving people of Mumbai, India who are affected by this terror tactics. We urge the government of India, in particular and governments of other South Asia countries, in general, to guarantee the fundamental rights of the citizens in their respective countries without any lapses and failures of their governance. In the meantime, we also request to all the friends in the Civil Societies of the region to join hands fighting against terrorism and all other forms of evil works. It is the need of the hour to strengthen people’s solidarity for establishing lasting peace and ensuring justice.

We, once again, express our strong solidarity and support with the people affected by this terror carnage. We believe, the brothers and sisters affected by this inhumane act will regain moral courage to cope with this most tragic incident in their life.

In solidarity with you,

Sarba Raj Khadka
